Jasper Diving Impresses In Weekend Meets

Milford, CT – Manhattan Diving was active over the weekend, excelling in a pair of meets and setting records over that span.
 
Manhattan set personal bests and school records in the NYU Fall Invitational on Friday, highlighted by excellent performances from freshmen Lexington Passamonte (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena), Connor Marshall (West Hartford, CT / Avon Old Farms) and Tommy Courtney (Thornwood, NY / Archbishop Stepinac).
 
Passamonte continued to trailblaze women's diving with a personal best and a new record in the three-meter with a score of 246.15 in the NYU Fall Invitational on Friday evening. She also shattered the four year-old one-meter record once held by Marylynn McMahon '14, tallying a 228.15 in the event. She capped her weekend with a third-place showing on the three-meter board in the tri-meet against Sacred Heart and Holy Cross held on Saturday.
 
The men's divers accomplished feats with their placing over the weekend. Marshall had two third-place finishes on Friday night, setting personal-highs in the one- and three-meter dives at 197.70 and 187.12, respectively. On Saturday, he took home first in both dives against the Crusaders' Sam Devine.
 
Courtney was right behind Marshall in every event over the weekend, recording personal-best 182.33 and 159.83 in the one- and three-meter attempts on Friday and earning second place in his Saturday dives.
 
On Saturday, the men's swimming team lost to Holy Cross by 15 points, while the women's side fell to both the Crusaders and the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
 
The Jaspers turn their attention to Senior Day on Saturday, November 17 as Manhattan hosts Monmouth and Siena in a MAAC matchup at Fieldston High School. The Kelly Green and white will honors nine seniors that will graduate from the program following the 2018-19 season.
