West Long Branch, NJ - Senior Rich Williams (Brooklyn, NY / Vermont Academy (VT)) registered his second 20-plus point performance in a row but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped a 77-66 decision to two-time defending MAAC Regular Season Champion Monmouth at the OceanFirst Bank Center.
The Hawks improve to 5-10 and 1-2 in the league while the Jaspers fall to 7-8 and 2-1 in the MAAC.
Williams finished up with a game-high 20 in hitting the 20-point mark for the fifth time this year and 12th in his career while also pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.
Senior Zavier Turner (Indianapolis, IN / Ball State) also had a big offensive night with 14 points, highlighted by a halfcourt shot to end the first half, and added three assists.

Diago Quinn (19 points, 6 rebounds) and Deion Hammond (17 points) led the way for Monmouth, which shot 56.5 percent (26-of-46) from the floor.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Senior Calvin Crawford (Middletown, NY / St. Thomas More (CT)) scored 10 points to round out the double-figure scorers for Manhattan.
- The Jaspers notched double-figures in steals (10) for the second-straight game and the third time this season.
- Manhattan converted a season-high 11 three pointers, including four each from Williams and Turner.
- The Jaspers lead the all-time series by an 8-6 count, including 5-4 as members of the MAAC.
