Riverdale, NY - Marist defeated Manhattan by a 16-6 count in MAAC action at Gaelic Park.


Freshman Mike Lombardi (West Islip, NY / West Islip) and junior Conor Darby (Havermill, MA / Assumption) each had two goals to pace the Jaspers while freshmen Trevor Pelletier (Miami, FL / Gulliver Prep) and Luke Hanson (Middletown, NY / Minisink Valley) each also found the back of the net.

Manhattan, which posted a 31-28 advantage on ground balls, was paced by junior Frank Merrill's (Mountain Lakes, NJ / Mountain Lakes) game-high eight. Classmate Joseph Bressingham (Glen Cove, NY / Nassau CC) added four ground balls while winning nine face-offs with junior Michael Zingaro (Cortlandt Manor, NY / Walter Panas) recording seven saves in goal.

The visitors were led by Mitchell Standera's game-high three goals while J.D. Recor added two goals and two assists. Brian Corrigan made 12 saves in earning the win.

In defeat, the Jaspers fall to 2-10 and 0-5 in the MAAC while the Red Foxes improve to 7-5 and 2-2 in the league.

Manhattan returns to action against NJIT on Saturday, April 22 at 7:00 pm.
