The Manhattan College women's lacrosse team fell to Marist University 18-5 Friday night at Marist.  Kelly Condon tallied six goals for Marist, while Manhattan's Phelicia VanOverbeke netted four goals

The Lady Jaspers were ahead early, getting a goal at 27:46 from VanOverbeke, but then Marist scored 11 unanswered goals to make the score 11-1 before VanOverbeke scored again at 1:21. But Marist scored one more time before the half ended to go into the locker room up 13-2.

The two teams traded goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, with Chrissy Gutenberger scoring her 31st goal of the season, but then Marist (now 6-6 overall and 3-1 in the MAAC) went on another run before VanOverbeke scored her third goal with 2:44 in the match.  She tallied her fourth goal with 47 seconds left.

Defensively for Manhattan (now 2-11 and 0-3 in the MAAC), Keri Morrison and Elizabeth Dugan picked up two ground balls each and Ashley McHale and Breana Leonard caused two turnovers each.

Manhattan's next match is Sunday at 1 p.m. when it takes on Fairfield University at Fairfield.
