POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. ? Junior guard Darryl Crawford led four Jaspers in double-figures with a game-high 17 points en route to a 67-48 victory over Marist (7-17, 3-9 MAAC) on Monday at the McCann Center before a regional television audience on MSG Plus. The victory marks Manhattan's (12-10, 6-6 MAAC) first regular-season sweep of the Red Foxes since 2003-04.

Crawford converted his first field goal of the contest from 3-point territory with 9:11 left in the first half to give the Jaspers a 17-16 edge, a lead the squad would not relinquish. Sophomore  Laurence Jolicoeur scored all of his season-high 10 points in the first 12 minutes of the contest helping Manhattan carry a 33-25 advantage into halftime.

Jolicoeur, a 6-9 center, knocked down his first three shot attempts, including the 10th 3-pointer of his collegiate career. Jolicoeur's performance complimented his team-high 17 point output last season at the McCann Center.

Manhattan led by as many as 21 in the second half as guards Chris Smith and Antoine Pearson found their offensive groove. Smith finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Pearson posted 11 points in a reserve roll.

Pearson anchored the Manhattan bench effort that outscored Marist 27-19. Junior Jamel Ferguson added six points off the bench.

Manhattan outrebounded the Red Foxes 36-24. Senior center Herve Banogle anchored the effort with a game-high 11 rebounds, nine coming on the defensive end of the court.

The Jaspers active defense forced Marist into 16 turnovers, which were converted into 20 points. The Red Foxes' 48 points were the second fewest Manhattan has allowed this season.

Manhattan shot a solid 50% (21-42) from the floor and 73.3% (22-30) from the free-throw line. Crawford was 6-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from the line.

Manhattan travels to Loyola on Saturday. Tip off is slated for 7 p.m.
