RIVERDALE, N.Y. ? Manhattan College freshman back Devon Lutz delivered the game winning goal for the Lady Jaspers in the 33rd minute, propelling the squad to a 2-0 victory over Saint Peter's (3-7, 0-1 MAAC) this evening at Gaelic Park. Megan Lavecchia followed with the first goal of her collegiate career in the 37th minute, assisted by junior teammate Alexandra Konneker.

Less than four minutes later, Lavecchia connected on a similar shot from the right side of the box, placing it just out of the reach for Saint Peter's goalkeeper Leigha Ashmen. Ashmen made a game-high 11 saves.
The Lady Jaspers' starting backs contributed to the great defensive effort. Co-captains Jill Beauchamp, Brittany Duhamel, Kara Bucci and Lutz executed the game plan, preventing the Peahens from operating on the offensive end.
