New Haven, CT (May 15, 2004)-Two athletes competed at the IC4A Championships yesterday at Yale University in New Haven, CT. Rajne Svenssohn captured first place in the Decathlon with 7, 411 points and Nils Pettersson finished 11th with 6, 344 points.
Svenssohn, who finished 10th at the 2004 Indoor NCAA Championships, was in third place after day one with 3735 points, 104 points behind the leader. He then went onto win the Decathlon on the second day after earning two first place finishes in the Discus Throw (40.55m) and the 1500m (4:26.23). Pettersson finished twelfth after the first day of the Decathlon earning 3,224 points. He then jumped one place after the second day finishing with 6, 344 points.
