October 8, 2003 (Bronx, NY) - In an intense five game match the Lady Jaspers defeated Fordham, 3-2. Manhattan improved their record to 6-10 with the win. Senior tri-captain Luka Van Cauteren had an outstanding game recording another triple double with 28 kills, 35 assists, and 19 digs.
Van Cauteren was not alone, as sophomore Maggie Pfeifer recorded 19 kills, and 5 digs with a .310 hitting percentage, senior tri-captain Jaime Pavel tallied 24 digs and 5 assists and sophomore Megan O'Dorisio tallied 9 kills and 9 digs. The Lady Jaspers won with the scores of 30-27, 30-25, 27-30, 31-29, 15-13.
Leading the way for the Rams was Mele Misi who notched 25 kills and 21 digs. Lindsey Lofstedt recorded 11 kills, and 15 digs in the loss.
The Lady Jaspers have a full weekend as they host two MAAC opponents, Niagara on Saturday at 2 pm and Canisius on Sunday at 11 am.
